About Susan Harper
Throughout her life Susan has painted. Born in London in 1947, Susan was greatly influenced by her Father, a Master Printer, taking time out to be married and raise two children. Susan has travelled extensively living in Australia and Singapore before returning to the U.K. in 1983.
Largely self taught, for Susan the one thing she is clear about is that she knows what she wants to get across to the viewer: to portray the beauty in all things, painting only subjects and creatures that she holds great affection for.
Known largely for her oil paintings and portraits of dogs, Susan has painted to commission for private and corporate collectors around the world.
Although oils are her chosen medium Susan will sometimes use pastels, graphite or watercolours.
The paintings and sketches that Susan retains copyright for are available to purchase as prints of the original works of art, lovingly preserved using high quality paper and ink, all signed and printed by Susan x
Currently, still painting to commission and painting for pleasure. Passing on the intricacies of her art in small personal classes.
